Elaine was born in Hurley, SD. She was the daughter of the late John and Ann (Heinz) Spomer. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Irmo, SC.
She is survived by her sons, John Ackerman of Hastings, NE; Norm and wife Lynn Ackerman of Irmo, SC; daughter, Peggy Ackerman of Boulder, Colo; grandchildren, Kimberly Shealy, Sarah Nelson, Stacy Ackerman and Anna Ackerman and a great-grandchild,, C J Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Norman, Sr and a brother, Kenny Spomer
