Mrs. Clark Rites Today

RISING STAR - Funeral for Mrs. Linnie Beatrice Clark, 79, was to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Higginbotham Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Milton Slayden, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was to be in the Rising Star Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark, a long-time resident here, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday in the Rising Star Hospital after an illness of about six months.

Born Nov. 2, 1882 in Stephenville, she married William Jack Clark there August 12, 1899. He died July 21, 1921.

A member of the First Methodist Church for 65 years, she had lived in Eastland County 54 years.

Survivors include her four sons, Dennis and W. J., both of Rising Star, Roy of Hobbs, N.M. and Leland of Lovington, N. M.; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Graham of Andrews, Mrs. Monnie Mae Drinkard of May; three brothers, Turner Weathers of Causey N. M., Coleman Weathers of Frederick, Okla, and Richard Weathers of Lueders; one sister, Miss Mittie Bowers of Brownwood; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons; H. D., Carlton, Homer C., Virgil, Roy Joe, William J., III, Robert, Richard and Jerry Clark, and Wade and Wayne Graham.

Linnie and Jack Clark were the parents of ten children:
