Eunice L. Thompson, daughter of Rendel and Mary (Miller) Thompson, was born May 4, 1928 on a farm in Sioux County, IA near Fairview, SD. She attended Fairview Grade School and graduated from Canton (SD) High School in 1946. Eunice then moved to Sioux Falls, SD and began work as a secretary for an insurance company and later at Northwest Security Bank.

Eunice was united in marriage with Theodore Aanenson on September 18, 1949 at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church near Harrisburg, SD (the church now sits on the campus of Augustana College). The couple made their home and raised their family in Sioux Falls.

Eunice was a member of East Side Lutheran Church and the John M. Bliss VFW Post 628 Auxiliary and a former member of the Norse Glee Club Auxiliary.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Ted; two children, Larry Aanenson and his wife, Michelle, and Donna Quigley and her husband, Tom, all of Coon Rapids, MN; four grandchildren, Kari Aanenson, Brian Aanenson and his wife, Maria, Jessica Quigley, Bobby Quigley; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Aanenson; one step great-grandson, MacClellan Davis; a sister, Clarine Gaffin, Harrisburg, SD; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Roland, Kenneth, Wayne and infant brother Raymond; a sister, Jeanette Roberts; and a step-granddaughter, Heather Davis.

In lieu of flowers, Eunices family requests that memorials be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or East Side Lutheran Building Fund.
