CLINCHPORT, Va. - Sam Ross Absher, 75, entered into rest on Sunday (March 11, 2001) at Wexford House.
Mr. Absher was born on April 4, 1925 in Scott County, Va. He was a son of the late Charlie and Ada Stetzer Absher.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Mary Jenkins; three brothers, Charles, Conley and Willie Absher.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Absher, Clinchport; four brothers, Dee, Jack, Mack, and Curt Absher, all of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday at Stanleytown Church.
Services will be conducted at 12 noon Tuesday with the Rev. Willie Ashworth officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Hall Cemetery, Stanleytown Community.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
