She is my 2nd great grand aunt. The tombstone shows her death in 1918, but she is listed in the 1920 census. Can anyone shed light on this for me?
Her parents were Valoras Button (1798- )and Sally Bill (1789-1880). I have not found their burial.
According to the November 18, 1920 edition of the Minneapolis Messenger, Rosetta Button Abell died at the age of 87 years 5 months, and 20 days, which would put the death date sometime around November 8th. Not exact, I was just counting that in my head. So the date of death on her stone is definitely wrong and the Census Records for 1920 are correct. A full obit is in that edition of the Messenger for anyone who is interested.
