COCHRAN - Services for Mary Jean Abney Bartel, 69, who died Thursday will be held Sunday at 2P.M. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bartel, born in Bleckley County, had lived in Toccoa and St. Simons Island before moving to Cochran six years ago. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lucile Johnson Abney. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors are two sons, Larry Hart, Cochran and Steve Strickland, Nahunta; daughter, Janet Delp, Haines City, FL; two sisters, Roberta Crunkleton, Toccoa and Billie Gomez, St. Simons Island; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
