Frances C. Abbott, 86, of Garrett, died Saturday at 11 p.m. at Betz Nursing Home.
Friends may call today from 2-8 p.m. at McKee-Miles Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Fr. John Vrabely officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family has requested preferred memorials to Masses or Hospice.
Mrs. Abbott was born April 2, 1908, in Garrett. Her parents were Bernard and Mary (Demske) Johnson.
She and Vernon N. Abbott were married Nov. 30, 1933, in Garrett. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1974.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Harvest House and Rosary Society.
Survivors include two sons, David Abbott of Fort Wayne and William Abbott of Coldwater, Mich.; one sister, Agnes Monehan of South Bend; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Joe, Gus and Steve Johnson, and two sisters, Victoria Johnson and Ann Toole.
