Mrs. Abbitt had lived in Caruthersville for twenty-five years, having moved here with her husband, the late Will Abbitt, from Waverley, Tenn. A member of the Church of Christ, Mrs. Abbitt is survived by three sons, George Abbitt of Paducah, Ky., Ed Abbitt of Chicago and James Abbitt of Caruthersville; six daughters, Mrs. Iney Amis of Paducah, Mrs. Nellie Triggle of McEwen, Tenn., Mrs. Ruby Mann of Caruthersville, Mrs. Odie Amis of Paducah, and Mrs. Mary Alice Smith of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Alva Pritchard of Humboldt, Tenn., Mrs. Dice Pichard of Humboldt and Mrs. Lillie Luten of Ark.; a brother, Henry Dunn of McEwen and 27 grandchildren.
