Dorothy A. Norden
Big Sandy--Dorothy A. Norden, 67, died in a Havre hospital Saturday. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy with burial in Big Sandy Cemetery.
She was born March 3, 1913, in Big Sandy, where she was raised and went to school. She worked in telephone offices in Big Sandy and Chester until her marriage in 1931 to Paul H. Norden, in Big Sandy. After their marriage, they moved to Warrick, where they ranched until 1956, when they returned to Big Sandy. She worked in a cafe and grocery stores in Big Sandy until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Joyce A. Richardson, Spokane, Pauline Weaver, Big Sandy, Darlene Shanahan, Missoula; brothers, Leonard and Alvin Swanson of Big Sandy, and Stanley of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister.
