Funeral services for Mrs. Mary G. Abel of Warner Robins, Georgia were held Thursday, October 6 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Abel died on Monday, October 3, 1994 at her residence.

Burial was in Magnolia Park Cemetery with Father Fred Njiem officiating.

A retired nurse from Robins Air Force Base and Houston County Medical Center, Mrs. Abel had lived in the Warner Robins area since 1966. She also worked with the Hospice of Houston County and was a member of the American Nurses Association. The daughter of the late Anton and Catherine Schallencamp Gottlob, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd Abel of Warner Robins, Georgia; two daughters, Suzanne Weber of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Cammie A. Edwards of Milledgeville, Georgia; three sons, Floyd S. Abel, Jr. of Macon, Georgia, James Tony Abel of Warner Robins, Georgia and Gary Joel Abel of Kennesaw, Georgia; one brother, Henry Ralph Gottlob of Salem, S.D.; five sisters, Lucille Erickson of Salem, S.D., Camilla Miller of Leeds, Ala., Betty Ann Smith of Marlin, Texas, Alice Helmberger of Wyley, Texas and Ila M. Gottlob of Houston, Texas; and nine grandchildren; also, three sisters-in law, Betty Chisolm, Kate Rogers, and Vera Webster, all of Lexington.
