Bessie Marie Thompson, daughter of Horace Edwin Thompson and Elsie Vernice McDaniel, was born December 22, 1924 in Tecumseh, Nebraska and died April 26, 1978 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. She married Alvin Albert Abbott in August 1944 in Seneca, Kansas and divorced him March 1952 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. She then married Walter Julious Wurzweiler on September 1, 1957 in San Mateo, California.

Miss Bessie Thompson and Mr. Alvin Abbott Were Married in Seneca
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Thompson announce the marriage of their daughter, Bessie to Alvin Abbott of Tabor, Iowa. The young couple took their marriage vows on Monday, August 7, 1944 at Seneca, Kansas. Accompanying them were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Abbott of Tabor. The bride was a graduated from Cook High School with the class of 1942 and since that has been employed at Nebraska City most of the time. She is a pleasant young lady and has many friends. The bridegroom is not known here, but is a fine young man and held in high esteem in his home community. He and his bride will make their home on a farm near Tabor The Courier joins other friends of the couple in wishing them a life of much happiness.
