Four preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife Mary; one son, Helmut Aab of Windsor; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Denny and Mrs. Frieda Miller, also of Windsor. Also surviving are five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
Jacob and his wife came to America in 1907. They worked sugar beets and farmed. They later operated a grocery and meat market on Walnut Street.
Jacob was a charter member of the Zion Evangelical Church, now Faith United Church of Christ.
