James W. Aaron, 92, went to meet his Savior on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011. A native of Liberty, Miss., he was born Feb. 22, 1918. He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church where the services will be conducted. After serving his country in the U.S. Army in World War II, he moved to Louisiana. He retired as a heavy equipment operator with ICI. He was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish with his grandsons. Visitation at Zoar Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 13, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visitation resumes at Zoar Baptist Church on Monday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Glen Miers. Interment to follow in Zoar Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carrie Mae Denham Aaron; a daughter, Joyce Perkins; a son, James Murray Aaron and wife Stephanie; a sister, Merle Catania; and two brothers, Jewel C. Aaron and Bob Aaron. Also survived by three grandsons, Murray Logan Aaron, Adam Lee Aaron and Tim Perkins; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death, by his father, Roy R. Aaron; mother, Aline McManus Aaron; five sisters and a brother. Pallbearers will be Murray Logan Aaron, Adam Lee Aaron, Charlie Newsom, Jesse Denham, Robert Jenkins and Monroe O'Neil.
