The son of Lane County pioneers and Eugene Baptist Church founders Mahlon Hall Harlow & Frances Burris (Tandy) Harlow.

His grandmother was Oregon Trail widow Sarah Scott (Snelling) Tandy. His aunt was Sarah "Sally" Scott (Tandy) Benson McClure and his first cousin was Damaris Tandy (Benson) Gillespie, the daughter-in-law of Lane County pioneer Rev. Jacob Gillespie.

On 14 Dec 1873 he married Amanda J. Bond, daughter of Lane County settlers George Washington Bond & Elizabeth (Stillwell) Bond.

Anderson and Amanda Harlow had two children" Minnie L. & Frank B. Harlow, who are also buried in Gillespie Cemetery. Minnie Harlow never married. Frank Harlow married Laura "Gertrude" Stevens. She was the granddaughter of Coburg, Oregon settlers William M. Stevens & Hester "Hixey" V. (Jones) Stevens.

ANDERSON HARLOW GOES TO HIS REWARD

PIONEER RESIDENT OF EUGENE DIES AT AGE 82; FUNERAL TO BE HELD SATURDAY

Anderson Harlow, aged 82 years, a brother of County commissioner M.H. Harlow, died at his home four miles north of Eugene Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Harlow came to Lane county in 1851 with his parents, and has been a resident of the county ever since. He was stricken with paralysis about a year ago but recovered. A few days ago he received another stroke and sank gradually until death came.

Mr. Harlow leaves a son, Frank B. Harlow, who is one of the prominent farmers of the county and a daughter, Miss Minnie Harlow. Mrs. Harlow died about four years ago.

Mr. Harlow was a deacon of the First Baptist church of Eugene, and throughout his long residence in Lane county has been one of the progressive farmers and leading citizens of the county.

His wife was Amanda J. Bond, and they were married in 1872, and resided in the same neighborhood throughout their married life.

The funeral services will be held from the family home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Reverent C.E. Dunham, assisted by Reverend Mr. Heskitt. Interment will be in Gillespie Cemetery.
