Services for Florence B. Adams, 82, of Thomasville are at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011, Providence Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Dr. E.C. Virgil will officiate and interment is in New Home Cemetery in Hinesville, Ga. at 2 p.m., Sunday. Pallbearers are members of the class of 1984.
Mrs. Adams died March 6 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Born March 8, 1928, in Hinesville, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Jessie and Rosa Brash. She attended the public schools in Hinesville and retired from Georgia Crate and Basket Co. She was married to Walter Adams Sr. who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two loving sons, Wallace Larry Jones (Idell) of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Walter Adams II (Vonda K) of Thomasville; five loving grandchildren, Domnique A. Clark of Valdosta, Walter (Buddy boy) Adams III, Carmonique C. Adams of Thomasville, Patrikka Georges (Lens) of Atlanta, David McClaughin of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Jathan Georges of Atlanta, Triston M. Clark of Valdosta; one brother, Lester (Alberta) Brash of Hinesville; a sister, Maudie (Lewis) Roberts of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends after the service in the lower unit of the church.
