Mrs. Mertie Hoffman, 74, Oakfield, died at St. Agnes Hospital at 9:30am Friday.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.S. Brookins, she was born June 26, 1870 in the town of Byron. She was married to Michael Hoffman at Watertown on November 11, 1892.
Besides her widower, she leaves two daughters: Mrs. Dessa Millar, Oakfield, and Miss Nell Hoffman, Oshkosh; a son, Carl, Oakfield; a sister: Mrs. F.M. Newton, Oshkosh; and two brothers: D.S. Brookins, Oakfield, and B.B. Brookins, Fond du Lac.
The body will be removed this evening to the residence in the village where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2pm with burial at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.
