Mrs. Ida Acree, 90, of 103 Riverview Avenue, died May 1, 1978 at Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Green County June 26, 1887, the daughter of the late Felix Landis and Evelyn Bingham Landis. She was a lifelong resident of the county and a member of the Summershade United Methodist Church. Mrs. Acree is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lela Bagby and Mrs. Mavis Kelly of Greensburg; a brother, Joe Landis, Pekin, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Edwards, Pekin, Illinois and Mrs. Irene Humphrey, Greensburg; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 3, at 1 p.m. at the Foster-Jones Funeral Home. Officiating ministers were the Reverends Gary Ervin and Ivan Jones. Pallbearers were six of her grandsons: James A. Kelly, Robert Bagby, James W. Bagby, Ellis Bagby, Rupert Bagby, and Vernon Bagby. Burial was in Coffey Cemetery. Foster-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
