Mr. Perry H. Acree, son of the late Mr. George William Acree and Mrs. Nannie Bell Estes Acree, was born September 2, 1893 in Green County and departed this life at 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 1975 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 81 years and 10 months of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Fry Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Etta Bell Clark September 20, 1920 and she preceded him in death August 22, 1974. To this union were born three sons and three daughters: William Acree, Dewey Acree and Perry E. "Samp" Acree all of Greensburg; Mrs. Kay South, Mrs. Margaret Steinway and Mrs. Mae Burton all of Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Acree is also survived by two brothers: Junie Acree and Lucian Acree both of Greensburg; eight grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 1975 with burial in the Fry Cemetery. Rev. W. D. Strader and Rev. Loyd Britt, officiated. Pallbearers were: Leslie Buchanan, Dallas Blankenship, Maxie Hancock, James Allen Kelly, Lester VanArsdale, and Frank Buchanan.
