From a ground reading in the early 1980's I think. below is SD deaths on Ancestry

Name Kristian Leveon "Chris" Anderson

Place of birth Norway
Kristian was born in Hamerai, Norway the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Matison. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and grew to manhood in Norway.
He came to this country in 1901 to Brooklyn, NY. In 1904 he returned to Norway where he was united in marriage to Miss Helga Hanson. They returned from Norway to Duluth and later moved to South Dakota in 1908 and homesteaded near Van Metre in Stanley County.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, 6 sons Austin, Henry, Haakon, Helge, Ingvald, Oluf, 2 daughter Alvilda and Ethel; three brothers Andrew, John and Tom and 16 grandchildren.
Two children preceded him in death.
I am making a guess as to where he was born in is now, this may be totally wrong!
