Funeral of Pioneer Miner To Be Held At Townsend Today At 2
The funeral of Charles Albrecht, aged 72, pioneer miner of the Winston district, who was found dead in his cabin Saturday evening, will be held this afternoon at Townsend at 2 o'clock from the Conors funeral home.
Mr. Albrecht's body was found by Harry Smith of the Kleinschmidt mill who had not seen him about his place for two weeks. The aged miner had a lease on a mining claim some distance away and was working the property alone. It was his custom to remain at the mine and his non-appearance did not excite comment.
The remains were taken to Townsend after it was packed out of the mountains by horse. He is survived by a brother, Otto, a Radersburg store keeper.
