GLENROCK MAN BURNED TO DEATH

Barney Adams Dies When Home is Destroyed

Barney (Buck) Adams, well known Glenrock teamster and contractor, was burned to death in his home there Saturday evening. A tragic note of the death was that spectators dragged many of Adams' belongings out of reach of the flames, while, unknown to them, he lay in the house on his bed. They thought he was in town, where they had seen him earlier in the day. Adams was burned past recognition and almost past identification. His home was located on the river, a short distance below the Fuller-Davis machine shop.

Barney Adams was born in Minnesota in 1894. He came to Wyoming in 1920 and had been a resident of Glenrock the last ten years. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Crane of Miles City, Mont., two brothers in Minnesota and a brother in North Carolina. A nephew, John Adams of Newcastle, was present at the funeral, which was held Tuesday morning. Rev. Clayton Judy being the officating minister. Burial was in Douglas Cemetery.

---Douglas Budget, July 2, 1936

Mortuary records show his father as Robert Adams.
