OAKLEY — Luke A. Racette, 78, Oakley died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Mr. Racette was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Sheridan County. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by a son, Greg.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of Oakley; four sons, Bill of Larned and Kennan, Darren and Rocky all of Oakley; three daughters, Kathy Wolak of Goodland, Lori Teichmer of Grinnell and Donella Younkin of Oakley; three brothers, Wilcid and Wilbur, both of Oakley and Danny of Colby; six sisters, Rita Ribordy of Salina, Thelma Beckman and Harriet Schroeder, both of Oakley Betty Zimmerman of Goodland, Phyllis Zerr of Quinter and Geneva Robben of Des Moines, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Grinnell.
A rosary and wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph School or Luke Racette Memorial Fund.

Luke A. Racette, 78, Oakley, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Sheridan County to William and Mary B. (Chavey) Racette. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Mary Ann Ribordy on Jan. 25, 1954, in Grainfield. He was a farmer.
