Marion Andrew was the 7th child, 3rd son of Charles Joshua Allen and Maria Houston Lish. When he was 17 years old, Marion Andrew was thrown from a horse and hit his head on a well casing. He was the first Allen to die in Jackson Hole. His parents set aside a portion of their homestead for a private cemetery and Marion's was the first grave.
