Elaine Edwards Adams, 70, of Baxley, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Adams was born June 2, 1941 in Appling County to the late Robert Lee Edwards and the late Olive Hollis Edwards. She was a member of Meltons Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Edwards.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Jerome Adams of Baxley; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Victor Powers of Baxley; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Kristy Adams of Baxley; three sisters, Martha Lee Stone, Peggy Stone and Louise Marsh, all of Baxley; four grandchildren, Tori Mann, Adam Powers, Jailan Adams and Megan Adams; two great-grandchildren, Cloe and Levi Mann and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Karen Zeigler, Allen Carter and Michael Beecher officiating. Interment followed in Meltons Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Robbie Adams, Jamie Adams, Chuck Nail, Kevin Parker, Ronnie Stone and Roger Stone.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
