Rosella Aagesen, 89, of Rockford, Ill., passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Wesley Willows Retirement Facility, Rockford.
Born Dec. 18, 1921, in DeKalb, the daughter of William and Alma (Vandre) Todd, she was married to James Aagensen.
She was a member of Spring Creek United Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Beverly (Arijs) Velmers; son, Gary (Kim) Aagesen; grandchildren, Stephen (Lori) DePauw, Kevin (Michelle) DePauw, Christopher (Laura) Zyvert, Danniale (Jeremy) Flowers, and Nathan and Lindsey Aagesen; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; daughter, Kathy Zyvert; brother; and sister. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Wesley Willows.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time; Dr. Michael Simmons will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
