Mrs. Montine Bass Abildgaard was a daughter of the late Shennie and Martha Townsend Bass. For fourteen years she was an Office Manager with W. T. Grant Co., and later was employed at Georgia Power Co. for thirty years. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World, and was a Pink Lady at South Georgia Medical Center. She dearly loved and enjoyed her family and friends.
Mrs. Abildgaard is survived by two sisters-in-law, Willene Bass and Natalie Dickerson; three nephews, LaVaughn and wife Eva Bass, Luther and wife Monie Bass and Gordon and wife Pam Steward; one niece, Bettye B. Holland; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gunnar Abildgaard; their daughter, Barbara Ann Abildgaard; two brothers, Archie Bass and Otis Bass; and one sister, Eva Steward.
