On Aug. 25, 1956, she married Donald Broeren in Raton, N.M.
Survivors are: husband of 55 years; daughter, Marjorie Kitzman of Leander; son, Fredric Broeren of Austin; son, Douglas Broeren and his wife, Deborah, of Rochester, Minn.; daughter, Gwen Ross and her husband, Richard, of Louisville, Colo.; son, Jon Broeren and his wife, Melissa, of Leander; daughter, Cynthia England and her husband, Mark, of Leander; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many relatives, good friends and devoted neighbors, especially Ward and Rojean Nelson of Wilcox, Neb., and Patricia Oeltjenbruns of Kasson, Minn.
After graduating from Minden High School, Jane attended St. Anthony Practical Nursing School in Denver. She graduated as a licensed practical nurse in 1956. She met her husband, Donald, in Denver.
Jane was known for her love of reading, rock and shell collecting, bowling and ceramics. She was an active member of The Order of the Eastern Star for more than 55 years. She was dearly treasured by a large circle of friends and family and was truly a blessing to all who knew her.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Jean (Aabel) Escobar.
Burial was in the Minden Cemetery, Minden, NE.
