Mrs. Dorothy Abbott, 86, of West Liberty, Died This Morning.
WEST LIBERTY-Mrs. Dorothy Ann Abbott, 86, a resident here since 1884, died at 3:30 a.m. today at her home following an illness of two months.
Mrs. Abbot was born in southern Illinois August 20, 1863, the daughter of Henry and Mary Parris. She came to West Liberty with her father in 1884 and was married to Charles Abbott, of West Liberty, in 1887. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Smith of West Liberty, one son, Albert of Iowa City, one grandson and one granddaughter. Her parents, two daughters and one son preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Snider Funeral home here. Burial will be in Oakridge cemetery.
