Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. for Luther E. Cook, a resident of Wheatland since 1920. Mr. Cook passed away at the Platte County Memorial Hospital August 18 following an extended illness. Mr. Olin Atwood and Mr. Floyd Hopper, Arvada, Colo. conducted the last rites.

Born September 14, 1881, in Hopkins, Mo., he was the son of L.H. and Cora Dillon Cook. Mr. Cook homesteaded near Torrington in 1906, living there until he came to Wheatland in 1920. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Christian Church.

Besides his wife, Maude, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth of Wheatland and Vernon of Riverton; three daughters, Mrs. Lester Zwieg, Wheatland, Mrs. John Roll, Laramie and Mrs. John Adams, Sparks, Nev.; two brothers, Dr. Ralph Cook, M.D., St. Louis, Mo., Torrington; one sister, Miss Iola Cook, Grant City, Mo. thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were C.B. Wilson, Emerson Utter, Fred Ryff, Woody May, Archie Preuit and Guy Holmes.
