aged 77 of 415 North Sunny Lane, resident of Monmouth since 1907 passed away in Monmouth Hospital, taken there 3 weeks ago after suffering a cerebral hemorrage
A retired railroad worker was born in Fairview, Il the son of John & Martha (Lamb) Abbadusky. This is where he grew & farmed before moving to Monmouth 43 years ago.
For a time, he worked at the M & St.L roundhouse as a mechinic and machinest. Later for the Monmouth Lumber Co and then for C.B.Q railroad as Foreman at the freight house. He retired in 1944
He married Miss Lulu Hipple of Fairview 1st Jan 1899. They celbrated their Golden Wedding on 1st Jan 1949.
To them were born 7 children who, survive with the widow:
Mrs Ada Kincaid, Lester E Abbadusky of Brooklyn NY, Leonard C Abbadusky, Mrs Hazel Catton, Forrest D, Russell M & Herbert O Abberdusky plus 8 grandchildren & one great grandchild.
Of his own family there survives 2 brothers Ernest of Santa Ann CA & William of Fairview, Il - also a sister Anna Pitman of Santa Anna CA. Four brothers & a sister predeceased him
He was a member of the Odd Fellows for more than 50 years in Fairview then monmouth. He attended the First methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at the Lugg Memorial Chapel with burial folloing in Monmouth Cemetery
