Mrs. Katie Achord
Mrs. Katie Able Achord, widow of Marion Achord and sister of three Memphians, died at 3 p.m. yesterday of a heart attack at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warner Pierce, near Hickory Valley, Tenn. She was 75.
Mrs. Achord was the sister of Will and G. M. Ables and Mrs. Jessie Mabry of Memphis. She also leaves, in addition to Mrs. Pierce, another daughter, Mrs. Rosie Achord of Galveston, Texas, and her son, W. A. Simpson of Marion, Ark.
Services at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at West Memorial Church near Saulsbury, Tenn. Rev. Walter Bryant officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis in charge.
