Mona Faye Thompson, 81, died Sunday July 17, 2005 at Good Samaritan Center, Dodge City.

She was born April 4, 1924 at Ellsworth, KS the daughter of Bruce Henry and Anne Sheridan Allen. A Dodge City resident since 1981, moving from Brighton, CO, she was the owner and office manager of K&M rental for 25 years, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of the Dodge City Chamber of Commerce.

On August 30, 1951 she married Keith Thompson at Russell Springs, KS. He died May 28, 1996.

Survivors include 1 son Stephen McIntosh Thompson, Dodge City; 1 daughter Colleen Thompson, Tucson, Ariz.; 1 sister Edith Merica, Dodge City; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Gailynn Cockerham and 1 sister Ruth Anne Anderson.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wed. July 20, 2005 at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place. Inturnment will be at Scroggins Mausoluem in Maple Grove Cemetery.
