OBITUARY
Emma Palm was born at Woodhull, Illinois, February 14, 1869, and was married to Oscar Abrahamson at their farm near Nettleton, February 21, 1900. Five children were born to them: Carl Abrahamson, Roy Abrahamson, Mrs. L.V. Calvert of San Bernadino, Cal., Mrs. W.N. Beezley of Kinsley and Richard, who died in infancy.
Mrs. Abrahamson died November 20 at Garfield at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 6 days. She is surived by the husband and children, and two grandchildren, Verne and Ronald Calvert, a brother, Mr. Peter Palmer and a sister, Mrs. Christina Samuelson of Garfield.
Mrs. Abrahamson had been ill for some time, but has been up and around. Death came suddenly from heart failure leaving the family stricken.
The funeral services were held at Swedish Lutheran Church at Garfield Sunday with Rev. Hilding Myreen officiating. Music was furnished by the church quartet assisted by Mrs. Homer Polson, Mr. Harry Massey and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dahlquist.
Pallbearers were: Mr. Noah Larson, Mr. John Sandelin, Mr. Fred Martin, Mr. Alfred Nelson and Mr. Bert York.
Burial was at Garfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Abrahamson has been in failing health. However, the end came rather unexpectedly, Tuesday morning, Nov. 20. She had reached the age of 65 years, 9 months and 6 days. The nearest mourners are the husband, Oscar Abrahamson; son Carl and wife of Garfield; son Roy, at home; daughter, Rosa, now Mrs. LaVerne Calvert of San Bernadino, Calif.; daughter Florence, now Mrs. Wm. Beezley of Kinsley; and two grandchildren in Calfornia. The last born, a son, died a few days after his birth, in 1915. One brother, Peter Palmer and wife; one sister, Mrs. Christine Samuelson; one sister-in-law, Mrs. T. Johnson; three brothers-in-law, Emil Abrahamson and wife; Anton Abrahamson, wife and children, all these of Garfield; Alvin Abrahamson, wife and children of Macksville; and the aged mother-in-law, Mrs. S.P. Abrahamson. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon. Brief devotions were held in the home by the pastor of the Lutheran church, Hilding Myreen.
Interment was in the Garfield cemetery.
