Mickey graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1940.
She was a homemaker.
She served in the United States Coast Guard from May 1, 1943, to January 28, 1946, during World War II. She did clerical work in Boston, Massachusetts.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa, and the Altar Society.
On Tuesday, January 29, 1946, Mickey was united in marriage with Tom Porter in Boston, Massachusetts. He survives of their home.
She is survived by her: Husband-Tom Porter of their home. Son-Charles Porter and his wife, Margaret, of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter-Diann Prentice and her husband, Bruce, of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter-Donna Saylor and her husband, Kent, of Sabetha, Kansas; Daughter-Patricia Little of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sister-Christina Crutcher of Merriam, Kansas;
Thirteen Grandchildren: Amy Mitchell, Beth Cole, Catherine Saylor, Denise Saylor, Benjamin Prentice, Andrew Prentice, Kevin Prentice, Billy Love, Carol Schilingo, Amie Love, Anne O'Dea, Sarah Porter, Caroline Mayfield and Ten-Gt.Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her: Parents-Anton W. and Teresa Mages

SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011.
IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Porter from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary, where a Rosary will be said at 6:30 Thursday evening, followed by a family visitation from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her casket will remain closed.
