Alex Abbott, 75-year-old Pulaski County farmer died at his home in Nancy Sunday night.
A native of Wayne County, Mr. Abbott was born Sept. 24, 1883. He married Rosa Bell Johnson in 1932 and she survives him.
At the age of 18, Mr. Abbott professed his faith in Christ and united with the Baptist Church. At the time of his death he was a member of the Slate Branch Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Piney Grove Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Warren Carroll officiating. Burial was in the Piney Grove cemetery.
