He was born March 7, 1885 in Ord, Nebr. the son of Jens and Marie Petersen Aagaard. He went to California for his health in 1946, having farmed while living in valley County. In Calif. he worked for the Kaiser Shipyards, also as a custodian. He never married.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Bethany Lutheran Church.
Survivors are four brothers Peter, Thorvald, Alfred and James all of Ord; three sisters Sena, Anna and Valborg of Ord. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private services were held at the Aagaard residence Tuesday at 2 p m with Rev. C. Jeppesen officating, assisted by Rev. Marvin Hamburger. Pallbearers were Edgar Roe, Tracy Hamilton, Paul Duemey, Ray McClain, Curt Gudmundsen and Herman Swanson. Interment was in the Ord City Cemetery with Hastings-Pearson in charge.
