Debra Abeln, age 44, of Lennox, died Saturday June 4, 2005 at her residence of complications from her illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Debra Irene Abeln was born September 13, 1960 at Mitchell to Bernard and Delphine (Metzger) Abeln. She attended Mitchell schools and then moved to Sioux Falls. She was employed for fifteen years at Rentschlers. She then worked as a cabinet maker at StarMark Cabinetry in Sioux Falls until the time of her death. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, and being with her friends and family.
She is survived by her mother, Delphine Abeln; brother, Terry Abeln and wife, Paula, all of Mitchell, and a niece, Kristen.
She was preceded in death by her father on June 12, 1988, a brother, Dale on June 21, 1997 and her grandparents.
