Mr and Mrs.Hammon Ackley, Plam Springs, Calif., were recent visitors in the home of Mrs. Reed Ackley and family. They also visited with the Buford Ackleys, and Velma Lee Ackley and family. On returning home they visited George Ackleys at Clinton, and an uncle, Bob Ackley, at Grandfield, Okla. Hammon is a brother of George, Buford, and the late Reed Ackley.

Mr. and Mrs. Hammon Ackley, have returned to Hammon to make their home after several years stay in California. Both Mr. and Mrs. Ackley formerly resided in Hammon.

Funeral services for Hammon Ackley will be 2 p.m. Thursday January 1 in the Savage Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Ackley was born 12-10-1903 in Hammon and died December 30 in Cordell Nursing Home at the age 72. He had been a cook for several years in the Ringling Brothers Circus. He had lived in Cordell since July.

He is survived by one brother, Glen Ackley of California and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the Hammon Red Hill cemetery.
