Mrs. Eddie Mae Abbott Baker, 95, of Acworth, formerly of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell.
Mrs. Baker was born May 21, 1912 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Otis O. and Izella Cadenhead Abbott. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church. Mrs. Baker was retired from Callaway Mills and the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills in Atlanta.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Kathy Baker of Acworth; three granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Jennifer and Matthew McIntosh, Allison Ann Ward, and Karen Allumbaugh; a grandson, Michael Jeremy Baker; a great-grandson, a great granddaughter; and a great-great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, James and Muriel Abbott; sisters, Lavern Hanson, and Mary Williams all of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank K. Baker; and a brother, W.O. (Jack) Abbott.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 today at Hill view East Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Botika officiating.
