Death Of Edward Reeve
Edward F. Reeve, of Rensselaer, passed away at his home in that place Friday evening at 8 o'clock, after a two weeks illness and failing health of several years. He was the son of W.W. Reeve early residents of Rennselaer, coming there at an early age. He was born June 4, 1862, and was married on Oct. 1888, to Mary A. Hopkins who died less than a year ago. For years he was a blacksmith in Rensselaer and later operated a shoe repair shop.
Remington people will remember him, who for a number of years, conducted a refreshment stand at Fountain Park each year, and that he was a brother of Clyde Reeve who was a mail carrier for a long period of time.
Surviving are two sons Leo and Joseph W. the former a mail carrier at Rensselaer, ad the latter Court Reporter, and George Ade's right bower; two daughters, Mrs. O. O. Osborne of Lafayettte and Mrs. Howard Abbett of Indiana Harbor; the brother Clyde and sister Clara, both of Andrews, together with five grandchildren.
The funeral was held Sunday at the family residence and burial made in Weston cemetery.
