Dolores "Penny" Abbitt 79, Zionsville, was born in Loysburg, PA on May 3, 1933, to the late Jenny and Lawrence James Pennel.
She was a long time member of Mounts Runn Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 53 years, and was involved in various children's ministries of the church. She was also active in personal evangelism.
She was employed by the Eagle Union Elementary School of Boone County for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Chester Marion in 1989.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Wayne and David Alan (Sabine) Abbitt; daughter, Theresa Jolan Abbitt; grandson, Tyler Abbitt; one sister and three brothers.
