Martin L. Aaron, was one of six children of Mitchell and Sylvia (Watson) Aaron. He and his wife, Sharon A. Hill moved to Chesterton from Chicago in 1970. In the dunes they raised their children Jeffrey and Deborah.
At the time of his death in 1987 he was survived by both his parents who were at the time residing in nearby Chesterton, and his five siblings: Edward Aaron also of Chesterton; Wayne Aaron of Lakeside, Michigan; Larry Aaron of New Carlisle, Indiana; Francis Bader of Elkart and Trish Powell of Valparaiso.
Mr. Aaron a veteran of the Korean War, was a construction worker for Gariup Construction. He was a member of Faith City Assembly of God Church, the Board of Directors of Teamster’s Union Local 81 and Chesterton’s Moose Lodge 1623. He was also a community service representative of the United Way.
