A 1995 photograph of the Furnessville residence of Martin and Sharon A. (Hill) Aaron. Martin died from the results of an automobile colliding with his car and when exiting his front driveway onto US Highway 20 in 1987.

The house built c:1926 or several years before the arrival of the Dunes Relief Road has maintained a back easement drive for as many years for the safety of her residents.

This English country cottage style house was constructed for the beloved American naturalist and prolific author Edwin Way Teale (1899-1980) and his wife Nellie early on in their life journeys. The Teale’s sold their two acre home to the Richard Lewry family in 1937 who in turn sold the residence to The Marvin Drapers c: 1947. The two acre lot was divided in two c:1944. The Aaron’s purchased the house in 1968 and following Martin’s death his children and spouse remained until 1997. Foreign Exchange students from Germany and South America also resided here. Dr. Jeanne Trifone, a Chesterton psychologist lived here next and from 1996 until the summer of 2004. A descendant of the Lewry’s a local English merchant family purchased the house recently hence the name Musette Lewry. The Teal Library Room is named in honor of the original occupants.
