Mr. A. D. Abels, age 75 of Calvin, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012.
Born Wednesday, February 10, 1937 in Bienville, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his Father, Claude Abels; Mother Mary Evelyn Abels; and Son, Billy Joe Abels.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife, Carolyn Sue Abels; 4 Daughters, Debbie Flannigan and husband Robert, Evelyn Marie Carpenter and husband Bo, Cindy Gunter and Annetra Gordon and husband Lee; 2 Sons, Alan Delane Abels and wife Mandy and Ronald Dewayne Abels and wife Robin; 16 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sister - Ruth Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 30, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Calvin, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM , and again on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Calvin with Revs. Billy Verhoff, Kelly Tingle and Jack Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Yankee Springs Cemetery, in Goldonna.
