Lawrenceville, GA- Martha Frances Giles Ahearn, 70, died Monday, August 6, 2012. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 9, 2012, in the Chapel of Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron with Rev. Joseph Hamelly officiating. Burial will follow in Little Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Crawford County. Family will greet friends from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. Born in Fort Valley to the late William Giles and Lois Patterson Giles, Mrs. Ahearn was a nurse with Rescare Home Health and a Baptist. For many years her passion was raising Bichon Frise dogs. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her sweet spirit and beautiful smile. Survivors include her husband, Joseph D. Ahearn, Jr. of Lawrenceville; children, Greg Janney and Lisa Aiello of Gainesville, Jill and Jimmy Vice of Ball Ground and John Ahearn of Fort Valley; seven grandchildren and a brother, Wayne Giles of Fort Valley. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
