Born Jan. 1, 1868, in Ljusdahl, Sweden, he was married to Brita Wik in 1891 in that country. They came to the United States in 1904, living first at Sebeka and Pequot Lakes, Minn., and later settling on a farm near Cohasset, Minn. Mr. Strang retired in 1953 when he and his wife came to Minot to make their home with Mrs. Haugen.
Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by three sons, Ole of Cohasset, Andrew of Detroit, Mich., and Paul of Las Vegas, Nev.; three other daughters, Mrs. Anna Adams of Cohasset, Mrs. Effie Rono of Detroit and Mrs. Frances Freeman of San Francisco, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Thompson-Larson funeral home in Minot with the Rev. John P. Dragseth officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens."
