Annie Ellen Martin Adams, 88, of 195 Boxwood Lane, Bassett, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born on May 2, 1916, in Henry County, a daughter of Elder Benjamin Harrison Martin and Susie Hopkins Martin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lester Adams; stepmother, Dovie C. Martin; a son, Lenwood Adams; and two brothers: Willie and King Martin.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Bassett Walker Knitting company for five years, and had been a member of Liberty Primitive Baptist Church for 37 years.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Chapel in Bassett with Elder John Wingfield officiating. Burial will be in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Collins Funeral Services from 7-9 p.m. today.

The funeral for Annie Ellen Martin Adams, 88, of 195 Boxwood Lane, Bassett, who died Sept. 26, 2004, was held Wednesday at Collins Funeral Chapel in Bassett with Elders John Wingfield and John Lee officiating. Burial was in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bryan Adams, Wes Adams, Kevin Adams, Sean Verlik, Dwayne Adams and Lee Ferguson.
