Funeral services for Rachel Self Aaron, 73, will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Many, LA. Officiating the services will be Brother Mac Dunkin of Lakeside Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Noble Cemetery in Noble, LA. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 until 10:00 PM on Monday, September 3, 2012. Mrs. Rachel was born February 7, 1939 to Edward and Eula Mae Self and passed away on September 1, 2012, at her home surround by her family. She was a member of Lakeside Church of Christ in Many, LA. Mrs. Rachel retired from Bill's Dollar Store after more than 20 years of service. Preceding Mrs. Rachel in death were her parents Edward and Eula Mae Self; sister Mary Lou Aaron; and brothers Edward F. Self, Jr., Elmer Self, Paul Self, and Rufus Self. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years Gilbert Ray Aaron; son Calvin Aaron and wife Cindy; daughter Beverly Rivers and husband Gary; sisters Lydia Craig, and Helen Foote; grandchildren Calvin Lamar Aaron, Jr. and wife Christina, Randy Aaron and wife Marie, Dr. Angela Rivers and fiancé Dr. Phillip Saunders, Krista Davis and husband Nick, and Mark Rivers; great grandchildren Will Aaron, Natalie Aaron, Victoria Aaron, Kaylee Aaron, and Lydia Davis; and special son "Boogie" her four legged child. Honoring Mrs. Rachel as pallbearers will be Mark Rivers, Lamar Aaron, Randy Aaron, Nick Davis, Scott Foster, Paul Craig, Eddy Cates, and Cleve Craig.
