George Adams, age 88, of Ojibwa, WI, died Thursday, March 28, 1996 at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

George Henry Adams was born on Dec. 30, 1907, in South Dakota, the son of Abraham and Henrietta (Zanter) Adams. He attended school in South Dakota and then moved to Ojibwa with his brother Clifford. He began working for the railroad in Superior and then worked several years as a groundskeeper at Loch Lomond in Birchwood. In Aug. of 1939 he was united in marriage to Lois DeRosier in Radisson, WI. Lois died in 1969. George spent most of his life working as a dairy farmer and logger in Ojibwa and was an avid trapper and hunter. He was a last elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Radisson and a member of the Moose Lodge in Hayward.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Dufty in Hayward, WI, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers, Cliff, Howard, Johnny, and Walt and one sister, Mabel.
