Kitty Belcher Roberts of Dryden, VA was born in Galax, VA on Wednesday, October 25, 1933 and passed away at her home in Dryden, VA on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the age of 78 years. She had retired from the Virginia Employment Commission and was also the owner and operator of Kittys Gift Shop in Dryden, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband J.E. Buster Roberts, parents Howard and Estelle Belcher, sisters Alice Adams, Betty Belcher and Carol Belcher and one brother Ray Belcher. Kitty is survived by one daughter Karen Maggard and husband Herbert of Dryden, VA, two grandchildren, Tyler and Elizabeth Maggard and two sisters-in-law, Helen Dale and Sue Belcher.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA with Rev. Taylor Phelps officiating. The family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 for the graveside service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
